Set with a black oval stone which is probably jet.

Approximate dimensions: black stone 12mm x 9.8mm, band 4.7mm wide and 1.mm thick, weight 7.3 grams.
There are surface marks associated with normal use and age.
Brutalist jewellery was inspired by the Brutalist architectural movement. It is characterised by asymmetrical and abstract designs rugged in nature. This ring is a very good example of that style of jewellery popular in the 1960s and 70s.
