Fine ormolu mantel clock by Rollin a Paris

An exquisite and very well preserved French ormolu mantel table antique clock retailed by Rollin a Paris circa 1860.
The fire gilding is 100% original, bright and crisp, the case set with a lower serpent/dragon to the base with painted porcelain panels to the front and sides flanked by pillars below King and Queen masks left and right with lower central trumpeting cherub. Above is a central basket with porcelain panel set within an ornate arbour.
The original porcelain dial matching the fore-mentioned panels, complete with original spade hands.
The 8 day movement is of superior quality, with rise and fall suspension adjustment, marked ‘Rollin a Paris’ (most likely the renown antique jewellery retailers) striking the hours and half’s on a polished bell.
The clock keeps perfect time and runs exceptionally and comes with its original pendulum and key.
Measurements:
Height - 52cm
Width - 26.5cm (rear foot to foot)
Depth - 13.5cm
Min depth required for siting - 11.75cm
Extremely heavy clock of very high quality and should not be confused with others of lesser quality.
Condition: Minor wear commensurate with age and use to be expected, one small crack to upper porcelain panel (repaired).
