Gents 9ct gold Omega automatic wrist watch, 1966

UK POSTAGE ONLY FOR THIS ITEM
Gents 9ct gold Omega automatic wrist watch, 1966.
The watch has a 24-jewel calibre 562 automatic movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 23,074,782 which dates it back to 1966.
The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the Omega winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1965, with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, Dennisons of Birmingham was a supplier of gold cases to various watch manufacturers including Omega. The inner cover also has the Omega logo and the case reference 161/2-5002 which is all correct. The case is in lovely condition.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and date display (an early form of quickset where you move the hands to around 5 past midnight so the date clicks over and then turn the hands backwards to around 9.15pm until you hear a click and forwards again to 5 past midnight, etc…keep repeating until you reach the desired date). The dial has a small indentation between 9 and 10.
A new leather strap has been fitted but the original 9ct gold Omega buckle has been transferred onto the new strap.
The watch comes in its original Omega presentation box (some darkening to the edges of the top) with original International Guarantee dated 1966 (serial number ties up with the movement to confirm originality), original receipt from Perry Greaves jewellers in Birmingham with the same date as the Guarantee, and a document from Perry Greaves relating to an insurance and repair service again confirmed as it is signed by the original purchaser whose name also appears on the Guarantee.
A lovely original watch with original box and all of the paperwork tying up nicely with the watch.
ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
Please contact us before placing international orders so that we can advise of shipping prices and to see if customs regulations allow us to post watches to your country.
