What can one say other than 'one of the most' if not 'the most' impressive pairs of candlesticks of this type that we have ever had. Good and chunky this pair of brass diamond pattern 19thC candlesticks stand almost 32 cms in height (The picture of three candlesticks shows a normal height one). We have of course had taller ones but not in this classic style. A couple of pairs of smaller examples also in stock,(normal height ones, 8 to 10 inches). This pair are a bit special and unlikely to be repeated in a hurry, the base is impressed with the words 'The King of Diamonds' as shown in the pictures. In 2008 a pair of these and another pair of similar size were sold for £400 plus premium in a Christies sale room.............Reserved...........
