This is a large antique glazed bookcase. An English, grand walnut display cabinet with sliding doors, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880. Of exceptional scale and craftsmanship, this library piece would grace the most refined interior with stature and elegance.
Exquisite Victorian craftsmanship, created to an exceptional standard for the stately home or fine library
Handsome walnut stocks with deep caramel hues and superb grain interest throughout
Generous proportion arranged as three glazed divisions, each offering four adjustable shelves
Glazed panels present a clear, bright view of books, ornaments or collectibles
Sliding doors move smoothly upon guided runners, with recessed brass cup handles for ease of access
Upper fascia adorned with striking dentil moulding, crowned with a prominent cornice
