Description

Hand Made Antique Folk Art 19th Century Costrel Barrel. These were made by the local village cooper or blacksmith for use as drinking vessle for farm workers when out in the fields.
Sometimes known a s Harvest Barrels. A charming and scarce piece which could be used as a fat candle stand if placed
on end.
It measures approx: 9.5" high x 6" diameter excluding
the "handle".
