Beautiful oil painting of a young girl by the Belgian artist Betty Scutenaire dated 1942. A young girl with plaited hair tied with a bow and bows also at the shoulders and waist of her pink pinafore dress. Shown half length and seated at a table arranging flowers in a lidded stein. Very confidently painted in an impressionistic style in oil on canvas. Clearly signed and dated in the lower right hand corner. Very good condition. Presented as found in an attractive gilded and moulded wooden frame.
