Description

Mid 19th.c. mahogany buffet sideboard c.1860. Solid mahogany top with a thumb moulded edge and crossbanded apron over an open shelf and a two door cupboard below (internal depth 13½"). Large and splendidly carved cabriole front supports with crisp acanthus leaf detail and scrolling feet. Well figured mahogany veneers to the base, with raised mouldings and flower head roundels to the doors. Raised on a tall shaped and crossbanded plinth. Paper label to the rear for the cabinet makers Marsh & Jones of Leeds (became Marsh, Jones & Cribb in 1867). Minor wear to the finish, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
