Description

Remarkable large late 19th.c. cased taxidermy display c.1890. Collection of five native British birds of prey, comprising male and female Sparrowhawks, a female Merlin, a young Perigrine Falcon, a male Kestrel and a Rough legged Buzzard. Very good and naturalistic taxidermy, presented in a variety of poses against a rocky backdrop with grasses and mosses. Behind glass in the original case with gold frame. Very good condition.
