Description

Large Edwardian era cased taxidermy display of a fox and prey in the manner of James Hutchins of Aberystwyth c.1900. A large fox, presented in a fierce naturalistic pose with feathers in its mouth and defending a freshly killed partridge, on an artificial rock with grasses and ferns. In the original ebonised wooden case, glazed on three sides with original glass and gilded slip and short block feet typical of Hutchins cases. Very good original condition.
Dimensions: width 24″, depth 13″, height 34″.
