Description

Impressive late 19th.c. gilt frame wall mirror c.1880. 15″ x 16″ mirror plate set within a broad and unusually deep gilded wood and gesso frame. Gilt finish worn to an attractive mellow gold colour. Note the interesting Patent stamped brass hanger on the wire. Some wear to the gesso with typical cracking and retoching to the gilding. Minor marks to the mirror which could be be easily replaced if preferred.
