Description

Late 19th.c. walnut coal scuttle c.1880. Originally intended for coals, it would also make an ideal box to hold kindling, fire lighters etc for beside a log burner. Sturdy little box in walnut with a hinged front and fixed metal liner. Complete with original brass shovel which fits into a metal holder on the side. Splendid ebony and brass handle. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
