Impressive George III style mahogany partners style pedestal desk c.1960. 72" x 36" top with a green leather work surface and moulded edge over three drawers in the front and matching dummy drawer fronts at the rear. Raised on twin pedestals each with three drawers of graduated height in the front and a cupboard (internal depth 11") at the rear. Very smart looking desk with matched flame mahogany drawer fronts and door panels and particularly good brass handles with pierced backplates. Canted corners with Chippendale style blind fretwork carving, raised mouldings to the sides and cupboard doors, moulded base trim and raised on shaped bracket feet. Solid mahogany drawer sides. Some old marks to the leather, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
