Beautiful Art Nouveau bust of a woman by the Italian sculptor Richard Aurili (1834 - 1914) c.1900. Head and shoulders length bust of a young woman with a determined expression and hair worn loosely tied into a bun in the fashion of the day. Raised on an interestingly modelled base. In terracotta with a very good bronze painted finish. Clearly signed R. Aurili with the serial number 737 in the plaster on the rear. Excellent condition.
Dimensions: Width 13½" Height 20½" Depth 7½".
