Rare mid 18th.c. Welsh oak lambing chair c.1760. A superb example of the from featuring a lovely ogee shaped raised and fielded panel to the backrest. Short shaped wings and flat-top arms with rounded terminals. Over a good sized rope seat (21" wide x 18" deep, height 15") with a loose cushion. Raised and fielded panel to the front below the seat, the front and rear stiles joined with low stretchers to the sides and rear. Wear to the cushion, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
