Description

#AD087:

This is a charming 19th century pre Victorian to early Victorian era tiny miniature Staffordshire English pottery figure of a jolly smiling sheep. He is standing on a beautiful rectangular green grass plinth, with gold gilt gilded lined detail, and wears a beautiful early thick woolly coat of clay. He is in in perfect condition, and measures 1.75 inches in height x 2.25 inches in width.

His face is a light pink, well painted with a knowing sheep smile. He was found wandering in the Devon, England fields, and is a beautiful little old original iconic staffordshire lamb or sheep figure, with no chips, cracks or restoration. These truly miniature Staff pieces are sought out by collectors, and hard to find. He is a real beauty, and has been in our personal collection. There is some early old pencil handwriting on bottom, probably his original handwritten price, as that's how clean he is.

Size: small 1.75 inches high x 2.25 inches wide.
