Description

A fine quality 19th century bronze of a female in a reflective pose leaning on a book. Mounted on a ebonized oval base. (probably a later addition). Very good colour and patination.
There is no evidence of a signature but there is an impressed number 1871 at the bottom of the dress.
The bronze figure is in excellent condition and of fine quality and can be used as is or remounted onto a marble base.
Base. 14" wide x 8 1/2" deep x 1 3/4" high. Figure. 8 1/2" wide x 10" high x 3 1/4" deep.
