Super quality and wonderful colour to this English 19th century burr walnut and marquetry Credenza sideboard with its original brass grille and a vintage pleated silk lined central door, circa 1880 and in great condition.
Some unusual marquetry to the tops of the turned and carved columns and all working very well to contrast the burr walnut, making this a great decorative piece of antique furniture.
The original shaped marble top matches the shape of the credenza, the curved ends and the two protruding columns, so this is great to use as a dining room server with hot dishes, hall console pieces etc, but also I find these credenzas make excellent drinks cabinets!
Internally, you have three good size storage areas, two shelves to the centre and one for either side cupboard.
The vintage silk does have some minor signs of its age, but still looks great, although if you would prefer it was replaced in a fabric you have sourced, no problem at all.
