Description

19th century French ebonised breakfront commode of three long drawers with original brass handles and escutcheons.
Well proportioned chest of drawers and the original marble top makes these so practical. The marble is shaped to follow the breakfront and inset sides of the commode.
Three full width drawers offering lots of storage and all running smoothly. I don’t have any keys for this, but may find one that will work…maybe!
The commode has been ebonised quite some time ago, so it has a lovely mellow worn finish to it and the figured veneers patterns below are visible which is rather nice.
Good solid piece and great value.

35 1/4 inches or 89.5 cm high
47 inches for 119.5 cm wide
19 1/4 inches 49 cm deep
8 inches or 20 cm from the floor to the lowest point underneath
