Late 19th century English black lacquered and decorated “Sutherland” side or lamp table, could also work as a coffee table too…
Very decorative and really quite unusual to find on of these tables finished like this. Very useful table as it can have both leaves dropped and be used as a slim sofa end table, or be used with one leaf making a demi lune or two leaves up to give you a good size oval table.
The finish is in good condition with just the expected age and use age marks.
Very stable when the leaves are up, so this could be used to hold a large table lamp etc.
Measuring:
27 1/4 inches or 69 cm high
32 3/4 inches or 83 cm long
7 inches or 18 cm deep when closed
40 inches or 101.5 cm wide when open
