Description

Lovely quality and a good size for many mantles if you have a tricky ceiling height or picture rail running around your room…this early Victorian gilt overmantle mirror is in really good original condition, retaining much of its original gold leaf and the ribbons tied in a bow to the top of the mirror are very beautiful.
Nice size to hang as a mantle mirror, but could also hang as a console mirror too.
The original mirror plate is in good condition largely thanks to the wood panelled backing boards which have protected the mirror very well, always a sign of a good quality maker too,

29 1/4 inches or 74.5 cm high
44 3/4 inches or 113 cm maximum width of frame
