Super quality 19th century marble top dressing table by the makers Edwards & Roberts (stamp on the central drawer edge), beautifully blind fret carved and with three drawers.
It stands very well, beautifully proportioned to give a sensible surface area and drawer space, but without feeling like a large piece of furniture.
The blind fret carving throughout is very crisp and the dovetails are also as you would expect from such a quality maker.
Standing on the shaped legs with a slight hoof to the base, this is a beautiful piece of furniture and very decorative from all sides.
The marble top with the 3/4 gallery lifts off for moving, so if you would prefer a white Carrara marble or mahogany top for example, please do get in touch…although the marble is in good condition and the charcoal grain and colouring work well with the mahogany.
