Great size original French Directoire style commode chest of drawers, circa 1830 and in super condition.
This is a rare, period commode, not easy to come by. Very useful storage piece, but equally works really well with its proportions as a very good decor piece too...simple, classic style with just a little French flair!
It will also work well along side English furniture with its simple style.
There are three smaller drawers over the two full width drawers below.
Fluted, rounded corner columns, standing on tapered legs, finished with brass capped feet.
The original marble top is superb, fantastic piece of grey / white marble with rounded front corners to match the rounded corners below.
Oak lined and dovetailed drawers, great quality piece.

51 1/2'' or 130cm wide
24 1/2'' or 62cm deep
