Very decorative and super quality French louis xv style kingwood and marquetry lift top dressing table, with mirror and good storage, circa 1920
Certainly the best example I have had of this style of dressing table, fantastic colouring throughout, lovely as a decor piece, but so useful if you need to place your dressing table in front of a window and don't want to block light, or to have it free standing.
There are some old repairs, nothing major and some of which I am having tidied up, so the condition is certainly good throughout. All original and complete.
The centre section is hinged, lifts to reveal a further hinged mirror that you can use as is, or tilt forward...left and right there is further storage for bottles / larger items...drawer space and also a central slide for further surface area.
Very well made and very unusual.
Measuring:
28 1/2'' or 72cm high
31 1/2'' or 80cm wide
18 3/4'' or 48cm deep

When the mirror is up 45 1/2'' total height
When the sides are open 50'' or 127cm width
There is 21 1/2'' or 55cm height in the kneehole area, under the desk
