Lovely set of 8 mahogany high back dining chairs with marquetry inlay and mother of pearl, circa 1880.
Good decorative chairs, but comfortable with the high backs and drop in seat pads - very easy to change the current vintage upholstery, I can have this done for you or you may have access to an upholsterer yourself?
Made in solid mahogany, marquetry inlaid and also with mother of pearl, standing on tapered legs with spade style feet and a fine banding.
The chairs have all been cleaned and are having coats of beeswax to bring up the finish, no serious restoration required.
All sturdy chairs and ready for many many years of use!

18'' or 46cm seat height

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
I can arrange delivery to you, whether you are within the UK or require an international delivery service, please do get in touch…as a mainland UK guide, a delivery for something around the size of a chest of drawers within approx 150 miles will be £75 to you, but if you if you are in Scotland, Wales, Ireland or Cornwall please get in touch to confirm delivery costs!

All of my items are antique and will therefore, have some signs of age and use, but I restore everything necessary and you will receive a good quality piece that is well represented in my photographs...no problem to send you more info or photos of any item you would like, just let me know.
