Description

A very good quality late c18th French tulipwood and inlaid marble top commode in fabulous condition and wonderful colour tones.
The commode has three drawers above two full width drawers below, all oak lined and noticeably finer drawers than the usual.
The commode is mostly in tulipwood, framed by rosewood and these beautiful rounded columns and tapering legs are inlaid with box wood and ebony, finished with brass caps.
Very decorative and a great feature piece with a gilt mirror hanging above perhaps. Please do take a look at my other listings for a good collection of suitable sized antique French gilt mirrors.
