Description

Charming French c19th "vigneron" or vineyard table with its original leather and gilt tooled top on a solid oak base.
This table would have originally been used within a vineyard and stored between the barrels, hence the tilting top for storage. Although, this being a leather and gilt tooled top, it would have been a rather smart vineyard!
Some signs of use to the leather top, although not torn at all, there are some liquid marks. The leather has cleaned and been fed, so it has a wonderful warm tone to it.
The solid oak frame and supporting stretcher is all in good condition and polished well. Gives you a good firm table top.
If you are looking for a breakfast table or small dining table, adding a glass top to this would give you comfortable seating for 4 to 6 seated with an appropriate oversize glass top.
Also, could be raised if you would prefer for seating.
This would work very well as a centre table, window table or side lamp table due to its slightly smaller proportions than the usual.
Measuring:
27 1/2'' or 70cm table top height
31 1/2'' or 80cm diameter
