This really is an outstandingly good quality 19th century English burr walnut and ambonya banded writing table with marquetry, box stringing and fine brass mounts, finished with a fabulous sage green and gilt tooled leather top.
The colour to this piece is really very good with a pale burr walnut which works so well with the sage green leather.
Good proportions too, so this writing table would work well in a number of uses, such as a sofa table, console table or hall table, but also as a sensible size desk.
There is a full width single drawer with its original lock and I will provide a working key for it too.
This table is finished on all sides, so it was intended to use as a freestanding piece, so it can become a centre table too!
A really fabulous piece and a very decorative style, great quality and condition.

Width = 48” or 122cm wide
Depth = 23 3/4” or 60.5cm deep
Kneehole height = 25 1/4” or 64cm
Internal drawer height = 2” or 5cm
