Very elegant and super quality Regency rosewood two door pier cabinet or chiffonier with geometric brass grilles to the doors and a 3/4 gallery to the top, flanked by these two classic columns and corinthian style tops.
Lovely proportions to this cabinet and gives good storage space with the adjustable shelf. This could make a great drinks cabinet, bookcase etc but would also work well as a hall or alcove piece too.
The brass grilles have been lightly cleaned, but not overly, so they have a good mellow tone which works well with the rosewood.
The rosewood has a wonderful grain pattern and it has been well cleaned and beeswax polished.
Good condition throughout and with a working lock and key.
It seems this cabinet may have started life with a fitted surface shelf which has been removed as there are four small repairs which are not noticeable, but I point them out so you know!
