A very good quality and decorative French kingwood and geometric parquetry small commode of three drawers with fantastic original brass mounts and sabot mounts to the feet.

This is a very elegant chest with the slight proportions but also how it was made with the shaped front and also the rear legs slightly sweeping out. The parquetry is all in very good condition and the chest retains all of its original brass mounts, the legs finished with further sabot mounts and a full brass banding to the shaped top too.

Three full width drawers, all made in oak and well dovetailed, all drawers running smoothly.

This small commode would work well as a decorative console piece as well as a functioning chest of drawers too. So beautiful, I would place this somewhere I am going to see it everyday!
