Description

Very elegant French late c19th Louis XV style ebonised and brass inlaid console table with the typical serpentine shape running throughout.
The condition to this console table is lovely, not over restored, but does have a good rich and consistent ebonised finish and all of its original brass work. There are surface signs of age, but only adding to its originality and patina.
The brass has also not been over cleaned as it has an almost bronze tone to it which I felt worked better than a brightly cleaned brass finish, so I left it as is.
The brass runs throughout the frame and down all legs too, finishing with further brass cappings to the feet.
There is an overhang to the rear, so this console table can fit flush against your wall for the top, but the legs allow for the skirting boards.
Great decorative piece of classic French style.
