Description

A really very beautiful late c18th Italian marquetry 3 drawer commode of great proportions and a fabulous colour tone.
Walnut, mahogany and tulip wood and panelled to all sides including the top which also has very nicely book matched veneers within the three panels.
The chest is in good original and honest condition, although has had a change to its handles of which the current brass handles certainly look to be c19th and work very well with the style and proportions of the commode.
Good storage with the three full width drawers and they are all running well, the chest retains its locks but I have no keys for them.
This is such a good decor piece that I can see it working very well as a feature piece in a number of locations around the house.
