Description

This really is an exceptionally good quality Georgian bow front sideboard of small proportions, circa 1780 and in lovely original condition.
Most unusual to find the smaller size pieces like this and this particular sideboard must have been for an extremely smart town house...would love to know where it started life!
The original brass handles are fascinating as they depict bumble bees and beehives around the ring pulls, which I have not seen before and assume must have been relevant to the original owner.
Made in well figured mahogany, ebony and boxwood inlays and also has the "tambour" slide to the centre.
Three drawers for storage with the righthand drawer also having its original four bottle cellarette and the tambour slide. Standing on very elegant tapered legs with boxwood banding and ebonised spade feet.
Wonderful piece of classic Georgian furniture and will work for a number of locations.
