Description

The frame surmounted with bead wrapped urn flanked by a pair of stylised griffins and a lovely foliate and swag frieze over fine decorative running arcades. The side pillasters with beadwork decoration and reeding terminating in urn and swag finials.

In excellent condition and extremely striking. The mirror in fine condition also with a lovely hue to the glass and a few tiny darker age freckles which are only noticeable on very close inspection.

To the back is the original board which has had later steel plates added at either side to secure the hanging chain - a very professional, strong and appropriate fitting for this heavy mirror and only visible when you turn the mirror over and look at the back.

Absolutely gorgeous!

46 inches high, 24 inches wide.

Mirror plate is 15 inches wide and 27.5 inches high.
