Description

A most attractive and unusual 17th Century oak stool incorporating a Medieval 14th/15th Century gothic tracery carved spandrel with a very good colour and in fine condition with losses and some evidence of ancient worm (long since dead) - the gothic design incorporates finely carved trefoils and a Tudor rose.

The stool is pegged and very solid, usable and robust and of a good height - it has protected the spandrel very well.

A really unique and useful piece of early furniture.
