Description

A really striking oak side cupboard with beautifully carved 17th century linen fold panels to the front doors and to side panels with a lovely colour and deep natural patina and original 17th century carved frieze and flanking columns. Peg jointed and appears to have originally been half of a taller two part cupboard but now with a late 19th century oak top and plinth with bun feet - 19th century and of matching colour.

A very practical side and narrow cupboard of a most attractive form, principally 17th century timbers and carvings but with later alterations.

Inside there are two old shelves, both removable, and the cupboard is heavy, solid and usable with a working lock and key.

Priced reasonably to reflect the honest alterations and worth noting that individually these early linen fold panels alone would fetch a higher sum.
