Description

A beautiful and elegant mirror with an early giltwood frame with Prince of Wales feathers surmount flanked by eagles and with a scale ground and scallop shell to base.

The mirror frame is 18th century, the plate is 19th century and has a few freckles to the plate but only in some areas and it reflects very clearly and has a beautiful soft grey hue to the glass. The mirror has been professionally restored and re-gilded, probably in the 19th century when the plate was replaced, and it is in excellent showroom condition and ready to hang.

A beautiful mirror of very attractive design and proportion.
