Description

A very beautiful George II walnut lowboy made by hand in c. 1750 with original heavy brass bail handles. Drawers retain their original pine linings in good and clean condition and the dressing table has a well shaped apron and attractive cabriole legs to front which terminate in large pad feet.

The oversailing top with beautiful bookmatched walnut veneers and a deep walnut border. Both back legs have scarfed in repairs and replaced sections but are structurally solid and these are professional restorations which are well blended and difficult to notice and as with all period furniture, it is to be expected that it has had repairs and restoration during the course of its life.

In very good and sturdy condition with a superior colour and ready for use.
