This is a large and handsome giltwood frame with mirror dating from c. 1825

The frame with drop bell husks, foliate C-scrolls, shells, elaborate tendrils and vines, leaves and flowers on a hatched ground. A carved egg and dart border surrounds the plate.

The quality of the frame really stands out and the beautiful design is intricate and elegant.

The deep mirror plate is 19th century also and has a golden hue to the glass. It gives a very pure reflection.
