Description

A very substantial early English oak chair of attractive colour and with a beautiful original linen fold carved panel to the back, with detailed carving to the fold and punched decoration throughout the background.

A primitive peg jointed chair of larger than usual proportions, the seat boards are replacements in our view but have been on the chair for a considerable period and probably a few hundred years.

A very handsome solid and usable early chair made by hand in c.1640


Dimensions are:

20 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 41 inches high.

17.5 inches from floor to seat and the back is 24 inches high from the seat.

For metric please multiply by 2.5
