Description

A stunning set of Yorkshire Back Stools, five matching and one additional, all dating from c. 1730 to 1750 and with a fabulous rich, well developed and consistent colour to the oak and natural deep patina.

The chairs are solid and usable, sturdy and of a good height and size. Comfortable and without weak or creaking joints. There are repairs, wear and marks, dings and bruises consistent with all seat furniture of this great age but nothing that is noticeable or affecting use. The chairs have a good few hundred years of useful service ahead of them and are a very beautiful original set of early Yorkshire chairs.
