George II Mahogany Silver Table c. 1750

Description
A very fine London made George II mahogany silver table c. 1750 with finished back, original brasses, truly lovely colour and the most wonderful corner rises which are carved by hand in solid mahogany yet appear as fluid and natural in appearance as petals. From the estate of Paul Castle – a polo playing friend of King Charles III, and an energetic self-made millionaire who tragically took his own life in 2010 after he became ill and his businesses began to fail.
The son of a London tailor, Paul Castle left school at 14 and made his first millions in clothing by his early 20s. He lost it in Florida property, then rebuilt his fortune so that by 2005 he owned a large number of properties in Mayfair, a private jet and homes in London, France, Ascot and St Moritz - along with his own polo team and a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Over 40 years he built an exceptionally fine art and antiques collection from which this silver table was purchased in March 2012.
My client has owned the silver table for many years and paid a considerably higher sum but is now selling due to a change of circumstances.
This is a particularly fine example, wonderful colour and condition, original and beautiful.
Dimensions are:
31 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 28.5 inches high.
For metric please multiply by 2.5
I describe and photograph my pieces accurately and with the aim that on arrival each will exceed expectations.
I operate a full refund guarantee and am always happy to give free, honest and friendly advice.
