Description

Exemplary colour and patination, this early Georgian corner chair is in excellent condition and is very heavy and robust.

From the estate of a family whose lineage can be traced to the fourteenth century and numbered kings of France, the English Plantagenets, Robert Bruce, and the Macbeths among its forebears. Full details will be provided to the purchaser.

Very original with no later timbers and extremely comfortable. The burr elm to the top rail is well figured and beautiful.

Minor marks and dings, wear to the feet and one foot retipped. The seat and arms have beautifully softened lines and the whole chair has developed a really fantastic colour and deep patina.


Dimensions are

Maximum height is 32 inches and height from floor to top of seat is 18 inches

Width of the chair from arm tip to arm tip is 29 inches and depth of the chair is 21 inches.

For metric please multiply each inch by 2.5
