Description

This is a truly magnificent and highly decorative Victorian solid silver soup ladle.

This superb example is in double struck Queens pattern in a very pure and fine silver.

Hallmarks are clear for London 1840 and stamped with the makers mark for either William Troby or William Theobalds.

Condition is very good, no repairs, very slight distortion to bowl as can be seen from my photographs.

Light wear consistent with age.

Unusually heavy and wonderfully balanced - a top quality example.

Dimensions are

The bowl width is 4 inches and 3.2 inches in length from the stem

The overall length of the spoon is 13.2 inches and the stem tapers to 1.2 inches at the terminal.
