Description

A very good oak gateleg side table of exceptionally small proportions with an oval top above beautifully turned legs with drop bell carved supports on squared stretchers.

This table has a particularly good colour, and is in excellent condition for age and retains original iron hinges. Butterfly oak joint beneath one leaf, a small number of worm holes to subframe (long dead) in restored condition.

Made by hand by a skilled craftsman. Early 19th Century with some restorations.

Would make a beautiful small coffee or lamp table for period cottage. Lovely, sturdy and having a fabulous well developed colour.
