Hemming Bird Sewing Clamp

Description
A gilt brass hemming bird sewing clamp with pin cushion from the mid 19th Century in excellent condition. There is the sprung bird in which the beak was used to hold the material to free both hands for sewing. The spring action in the bird is strong and the adjuster for the clamp works smoothly. The original velvet cushion is also in good antique condition. It measures 5 inches high (excluding the adjuster).If you have any questions, please get in touch.
