Clockwork Tortoise Desk or Service Bell

Description
A lovely novelty clockwork tortoise service bell dating to the 1920s. The tortoise body is made of cast iron and the shell is made of Bakelite. As can be seen in the photos, the tortoise is in great condition. The wind-up mechanism works perfectly and the bell is activated by pressing either the head or tail of the tortoise. The bell gives a nice ring and the head and tail return well. It measures 14.8cm from head to tail, has a maximum width of 7cm, and is 5cm in height.If you have any questions, please get in touch.
