Description

A charming 1930s French table lamp in excellent condition with two cherubs using a rope to pull an orb and another pushing it. The naturalistic base details the footprints of the cherubs as they manoeuvre the orb. The black base beneath the spelter base is wooden and is coloured to resemble a slate plinth. The lamp has no breaks or losses and the glass shade is in perfect condition. It has been rewired with over 6 ft of ‘old gold’ coloured three-core braided flex. A new brass bayonet bulb holder has also been fitted along with a new black inline switch and black plug. The lamp comes with a new 25W pygmy bulb which gives a wonderful, soft glow that illuminates the cherubs wonderfully. The wooden base measures 45.4 x 17.6 cm and the lamp stands 20.5 cm at its highest point.
