A charming five-section Japanese inro in Takamaki-e with Nashiji decorated compartment insides.
Featuring an actor in butterfly costume in different shades of gold and silver on a Fundame background,with the same on the other side but in reverse and Kirikane decoration.
Meiji period and signed by the artist on the base.

8.5cm tall

A small area on the top compartment where breakout has occurred,light wear in places and one cord runner has a small loss.
