Description

This is an antique Georgian hinged snuff or trinket box made from horn with applied tortoiseshell top.

The centre of the top is decorated – originally with gold overlay, most of which is now missing as it has been worn off with time and use. You can still see the motifs though.

There are some lines & unevenness (to the bottom for example), but to me they seem to be natural rather than damage related. Please check the photos though.

The box measures 7 x 4.1 cm and it’s about 2 cm tall.
